On 11th February 2020 we proudly announced our partnership with the GBR artistic (synchronised) swimming duet Kate Shortman and Izzy Thorpe.
We want to help young athletes doing sports like artistic swimming that receive very little funding - but have a big impact on children's health and wellbeing.
So... BeU will provide Kate and Izzy with specially designed competition swimming costumes. The costumes will be created from recycled ocean plastic in a revolutionary new, high tech way to make them kinder to the planet; and lighter and more efficient in the water when worn by the athletes.
AND... when they've finished using their costumes they will be RECYCLED and made into special commemorative items. These items will then be sold to support artistic swimming in this country - and the next generation of young artistic swimmers.
Watch the moment when Kate and Izzy saw their finished costumes for the first time here!
We wish Kate and Izzy the very best of luck as they try to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games later this year.
